That experience leads to our knowledge of construction practices...We help clients get what they want and need, within their budget.  We consider Construction methods, material options and practical approaches, while working with Architects and Engineers to get the best value for our clients.

Work Ethic

A strong work ethic is the core to our culture.  We take pride in doing whatever it takes to get the job done right.

Respect

We value our employees and our customers.  With dignity and respect, we will acknowledge the different perspectives, feelings and contributions that each individual brings to the work place and the project.

Accountability

We set high performance expectations and are responsible for the quality of our work and the results we achieve as individuals, as team members and as a company.

Safety

Our Commitment to Safety is a top priority.  We continually train our team on ways to protect our people and projects.  We are committed to the highest standards of safety.

Teamwork

The design-build team and the owner are in this together.

They each have the same goal –to complete a successful project that meets or exceeds the owner’s expectations. When teams encounter challenges on a project (and there are always challenges), pointing fingers is not an option. Instead, everyone rolls up their sleeves and works on solutions together.

Total Accountability

One entity, the design-builder, is accountable for the entire project.

Including how the end result looks, how much it costs, and how quickly it is completed. There is a tremendous advantage to working with architects who can think like builders and builders who can think like architects, but design-build is a commitment. A firm must be dedicated to the design-build process to ensure high-quality results and 100% customer satisfaction.

Continuity

A design-build firm is involved in the project from start to finish.

From development, design, pricing, procurement to construction, this adds an inherent efficiency and effectiveness to the process. The chance of items being overlooked is greatly diminished.

Expertise

Design-build teams bring expertise in both fields: design and construction.

The team should include designers and contractors with design build experience that understand pricing, sequencing, and how buildings come together. Expert design-build teams are knowledgeable of general construction and have strong, lasting partnerships with reliable subcontractors.

Professional Guides

The design-builder acts as a trusted advisor to owners throughout the entire process.

We have all heard the stories of design and construction getting out of hand and messy. However, design and construction should not be chaotic or stressful. The design-builder acts as a trusted advisor to owners throughout the entire process, guiding the way to the best possible outcome. Design-build refines a process from beginning to end and manages the chaos into orderly steps.

Owner Involvement

By being invested in the process, owners can guarantee that their goals will be achieved.

Design-build operates under the premise that the owner actually wants to be an active participant in the design and construction of their building. By being involved in the process, owners can guarantee that their goals will be accomplished and that their wishes will be achieved. Such an involvement gives owners a lasting sense of pride in their building.

Collaboration

The team is there to empower and collaborate.

Design-build cuts out the big egos so common in the design industry. Design and Construction are on in the same In design-build, while the owner retains total control over the project, The team is there to empower and collaborate with them.

Communication

The best partnerships work not because people say what everyone wants to hear, but because they say what everyone needs to hear.

Design-build is transparent because owners understand the process and know what is going on at all times. Through clear communication, the project can be completed successfully for both owner and design-builder.

Time Savings

Design and construction involve managing multiple timelines that need daily coordination.

Design-build creates opportunities for owners to contemplate major decisions, ask questions and consider their options. Anything the team can do to avoid taking steps backward is going to lead to better, faster and more cost-effective results. The design-build system is highly adaptive and responsive in the field.

Cost Savings

Design Build delivers the most effective cost.

By choosing Design Build, the team can utilize the 9 principles above to develop the most cost effective delivery cost.  Design fees are reduced by cutting the need for costly specifications and details. Construction costs are reduced by utilizing efficient construction methods and materials. Owner carrying costs are reduced by condensing construction time lines.

*I started working on projects with my Dad as a kid, building things around the house. Worked my first construction, framing a house with our HS Principal, and was hooked on it ever since.

Which led me to KSU and Construction Science and Management. I worked for myself doing small jobs and working for builders all through school at KSU.

Outside of work I enjoy my kids and their activities, being able to see them grow and develop is very exciting. I like to spend time outdoors. I hunt and fish as much as I can. I also enjoy my part time cattle ranch operation. And keeping my old pick up running!

*I went to college at Kansas State University for construction science. I enjoy working on historic restoration and renovation projects. It is rewarding to bring life back into old buildings and structures so the next generation can experience them.

I am a part time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor. Being outdoors and traveling take up most of my free time. I also have 4 dogs to keep me even busier.

Accounting - AP/AR

Bio

*When I first graduated from K-State, I worked in public accounting for a few years as a financial auditor and tax return preparer for many different types of construction companies. Construction accounting is definitely a unique type of accounting and it was always interesting to me. I left the work force to be a stay at home mom for several years, but when the opportunity to do accounting for Riley Construction came up, I was excited to return to the construction industry in a different capacity!

I live in Wamego with my husband of 21 years, Nick, and my two wonderful sons, Evan (14) and Nolan (10). Our family outings usually involve golf in one form or another, including lots of mini golf or afternoons at Topgolf. We are big KSU fans, so we enjoy taking in a few KSU sporting events throughout the year.

*My father is a carpenter. I’ve been doing carpentry since an early age. Graduated from Kansas State University from the Dept. of Engineering in Construction Science & Management.

I like to work on any project where we are the GC where we are in charge of the project as a whole. I enjoy all aspects of these as I am involved from the below the ground & up!

I have a wife and one kid. When I’m not working on my own home I enjoy outdoors either hunting, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, or just relaxing.
